Mexico City's extent for foreigners

This map shows a hypothetical scheme of how the Greater Mexico City's area would look over imposed on London. The purpose of this map is for recreational use; it was made to show foreigners the extension of the city to make them understand what a Mexican means when he/she says that the city is huge. Most foreigners are not able to grasp the city's dimensions.

This map also aims to call the attention of my chauvinistic Mexican fellows. Even if this map seems to be a show-off and a proud example of Mexican chauvinism, I must point out the fact that the Metropolitan Area of Mexico City (Greater Mexico City) is only the 11th largest city in the world by population (the first three are, in order, Tokio, São Paulo and Shanghai) and the 27th by area (the first three are New York Metro, Tokyo/Yokohama and Chicago), which is far from the Mexican urban myth that claims that Mexico City is still the biggest city on Earth.

The holes within the polygon in the map are specific touristic or well-known zones of the city. This polygon shows the extents of what it is called Greater Mexico City
